CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS 2013

Please discard last email in which I gave you misleading information on the eligibility of players for the North Kerry Intermediate, Junior and Novice competitions.
In that email I stated that if "a player who played as part of the starting 15 players in the following County Championship competitions: County Novice, Intermediate, Junior or Club or who is already named on the first 15 players submitted (i.e Senior or ‘A' team at the beginning of the year to the North Kerry Board) such players are deemed NOT eligible to play in North Kerry Intermediate, Junior, or Novice Football Championship for 2013 Season.
This is partially right from a County Board view as their competitions stipulates this.
HOWEVER:
On further investigation of our own Minutes & Records I find that there is a difference in our Competition regulations regarding the eligibility of players for these competitions.
Two things that were binding from motions submitted to convention some years back were.
(1) That the North Kerry Intermediate Championship be played and concluded within the month of August or prior to the commencement of the Senior Championship. (Tarbert)
(2) That all ‘B' named players be eligible to play in North Kerry Intermediate, Novice, and Junior Competition regardless of their participation in County Competition. (i.e all players eligible other than those on the first 15) (Ballylongford)
These key motions have never been amended or overturned in the intervening years so therefore we are bound and compelled to carry out the same procedures.
While we appreciate the County Boards stipulations. We must abide by our own rules and regulations until such time as they are amended or discarded.
Again apologies for the miss understanding, but this is the clarity we must now Abide by.
Kind Regards
