Beale Gaa Notes   19/09/2022

A busy weekend ahead as Beale seniors host Moyvane in Páirc de Staic on Saturday at 4 o’clock in the first round of the County Novice Championship. Then, on Sunday, Beale juniors play Duagh in the final of the North Kerry League, Division 4. Time and venue to be confirmed. 

 

We received a bye in the opening round of the North Kerry Senior Football Championship. First round games are scheduled to begin in mid-October. Our juniors compete for the North Kerry Intermediate Cup. We await details. . 

  

There was no jackpot winner in last week’s Beale Lotto on September 19th. Numbers drawn were 2, 9, 17 and 18. There were two Match-3 winners, Natalie Griffin and Bernie Coughlan, who each win €50. This week’s €1,700 jackpot was not won. Numbers drawn were  1, 8, 15 and 32. There were three Match-3 winners, Noel Stack, Brendan Slattery and Seán Farrell, who each win €35.. Next week’s jackpot is €1,750. The draw takes place on Sunday night in Kilcooly’s at 9 o’clock. A huge ‘míle buíochas’ to everyone who supports and promotes the Beale Lotto. 

 

Tickets, €2 each or 3 for a fiver, are available in Joyce’s Newsagents or in the local pubs. Beale GAA Club has been shortlisted for a Best of Kerry Award (Radio Kerry). We’re in the last 5 for Best Club Jersey. The people of Kerry are responsible for the voting process which closed last Sunday. Thanks to everyone who supported us. Best of luck to our local businesses too who have been shortlisted in various categories - Joyce’s, Beauty by Beach and Ballybunion beach. We eagerly await results on Thursday night.
