Beale Gaa Notes   17/10/2022

Beale seniors are through to the final of the County Novice Championship. All roads lead to Listry on Saturday when we take on Kilgarvan at 3.30.

In wintery conditions, we overcame Asdee on Saturday in the semi-final. At the end of a rather low-key first half, we went in at the interval four points to the good, 0-6 to 0-2.

We drove on from there and our opponents found scores difficult to come by. We ran out comfortable winners on a score of 1-14 to 1-04. .

We received a bye in the opening round of the North Kerry Senior Football Championship. The draw for the quarter finals takes place on Sunday evening and will be streamed live on North Kerry Facebook page at 5.30pm.

Our juniors compete for the North Kerry Intermediate Cup. Details yet to be confirmed

There was no jackpot winner in this week’s Beale Lotto. There were 2 Match-3 winners. Conor Liston and Keith Hughes each won €50. Numbers drawn were 12, 13 19 and 29. Next week’s jackpot is €1,900. The draw takes place on Sunday night in Courtney’s Bar at 9 o’clock. A huge ‘míle buíochas’ to everyone who supports and promotes the Beale Lotto.

The boys and girls of Kilconly National School were recently crowned North Kerry champions and then won their way through to the County semi-final of Cumann na mBunscol competition. Last Thursday, they put up a gallant performance against Loughfouder. It was not their day and just one point separated the teams at the final whistle. Well done, boys and girls and management. .

Coming off the back of a great win over Tarbert last week, the boys and girls of Scoil Íosagáin took on Glenderry this week in their Cumann na mBunscol game. They put in a great effort but were defeated by a very impressive opposition. Well done to players and management on a great game.
