Beale GAA   09/03/2020

Beale minors and seniors opened their accounts in the County leagues at the weekend. Our minors shared the spoils with Emmetts on Saturday in the County League, Division 5, in Ballybunion. Indeed,  we were unlucky not to secure a win as our opponents levelled with a goal in the closing minutes. The game ended 2-8 apiece.  We travel to Mountcoal on Saturday to play St Senans. Throw in at 4 o’clock. The following Saturday we play host to Milltown/Castlemaine in Ballybunion at 4 o’clock.

Beale seniors secured the points in the opening round of Division 4 of the County League on Sunday, when we defeated Fossa in Páirc de Staic. We had our nose in front at the interval, leading by five points to four. We raised the green flag immediately on the changeover and held the lead from there on. Underfoot conditions made play rather difficult and tempers frayed in a low-scoring second half. We were victorious on a score of 1-5 to 0-7. We travel to Tarbert on Sunday for a 2 o’clock throw-in.

Our seniors contest Group 2 of the County Junior Club Championship with our first game against Cordal in Ballybunion. Other teams in this group are Scartaglin and Valentia.
