Fixtures and results; 

Knocknagoshel made it five wins from five games when they hosted John Mitchels B in the County League on Sunday. The teams were level two points a piece at the end of the opening quarter with John and Edmond Walsh scoring for Knocknagoshel and Stephen Bowler and Jason Fitzgerald scoring for Mitchels.  Knocknagoshel went on to score 1-2 in the second quarter with points by Edmond Walsh, Denis Roche and a goal by John O'Keeffe.  Mitchels only reply was a late point by Mike Walsh.  Half time score Knocknagoshel 1-4 John Mitchels 0-3. Two points early in the second half extended Knocknagoshels lead to 6.  Mitchels went on to score the next three points with two by Lawrence Bastible at either side of a fine score by Jason Fitzgerald. A pointed free by Edmond Walsh extended Knocknagoshels lead but a goal by Shane McMahon left just one point between the sides with four minutes remaining. Late points by Edmond Walsh and Michael Keane secured vicory for Knocknagoshel.  Full time score:  Knocknagoshel 1-10 John Mitchels B 1-6 The B team will play Cordal in Knocknagoshel at 7.30pm on Friday 21st June.   

Lotto; The lotto draw for a jackpot of €8,500 was held in Moynihans bar on Saturday night last.  The numbers drawn were 11, 12, 22, 27. There was no winner of the jackpot.  The five lucky dips of €30 each were won by Connie Cronin, Scartaglen, Breda Mangan, Fevata, Bridie Begley, Castleisland, Kieran McAuliffe, c/o Kierans XL and Agnes Cremins Meenganaire.  The next draw will be for a jackpot of €8,600 and will be held at O'Connors on Saturday 6th July.  Tickets are available from Kierans XL, Supervalu Abbeyfeale, the local bars and usual sellers.  Our club lotto can also be played online by following the link on www.knocknagoshel.gaa.ie  

Cúl Camps; Knocknagoshel GAA will host the Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps on the week of July 15th to 19th. Registration is now open on www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie  Munster Final tickets; 

Tickets for the Munster Final can by purchased from selected SuperValu or Centra stores.  Tickets are also available from the club by contacting John O'Keeffe on 087-7176698.  Tickets prices are Adult Stand €35, Adult terrace €25, Juveniles in both areas €5.  Adult prices will increase by €5 at midnight on 21st June so pre-purchase is advised.

Coiste na nÓg;  Knocknagoshel/Brosna U-16's will play Ballylongford/Asdee/Ballydonoghue on Wednesday 26th June.  Knocknagoshel/Brosna U-12's will play Firies in Firies on Sunday 23rd June.   St. Kierans Cycle;

St. Kierans GAA Club 56km cycle takes place on Sunday 23rd June at 9.30am.  Cyclists can register from 8am at Castleisland Desmonds GAA ground and the cost per adult is €20 and €10 for those under 16 years of age.   

Knocknagoshel Clothes Collection; Knocknagoshel GAA are holding an ongoing clothes collection to help raise funds for the club. Bags of clothes can be left into the white lorry container near the log cabin at the Football Field. All types of clothes are accepted as well as shoes, handbags, curtains & towels. Please note that duvets are not accepted.
