A big sigh of relief from all Ballydonoghue supporter’s on Saturday evening in Ballymacelligott as we managed to retain our Junior premiership status with a hard fought win over a never say die Annascaul side. Three goals in the first half gave us a ten point lead at half time. We still lead by seven points approaching injury time in the second half thanks in no small part to some fine saves from goalkeeper Darragh O’Shea and an Annascaul penalty that struck the crossbar before going over. Annascaul did pull a goal back in injury time to leave four points between the sides at the final whistle. The sides meet again on Sat evening in the county league.
