Beale minors came up short against Beaufort in the County League, Division 4, on Monday afternoon in Ballybunion. The final score read 1-5 to 1-9. Beale lined out as Gavin Casey, Eamon Lawlor, Diarmuid O’Mahony, Conor Toomey, Jack O’Sullivan, David Hennessy, Liam Bryant, Pádraig Holly, Fintan Linnane, Bernard O’Callaghan, Seán Moloney, Cathal Farrell, Luke O’Donovan, Eric Daly and Barry O’Neill. Substitutes, Mark Hennessy and Scott Godson. We travel to Spa next Saturday for a 4 o’clock throw-in and host Kilcummin in Páirc de Staic on April 13th at 6.30pm. Our final round game will be against St Pat’s on April 20th in Blennerville at 6.30pm.

Beale seniors will be hoping for back-to-back victories when we travel to Firies on Sunday next for our second round game in Division 4 of the County League. Throw in at 2 o’clock. We play Ballylongford on Easter Saturday in Round 2 of the County Junior Championship in Ballylongford at 5.30pm. Round 1 has been scheduled for the following weekend. Duagh and Tousist are the other teams in this group.

We host Skellig Rangers on April 22nd in the County League and have 2 games in May. We travel to Cordal on May 13th and host Castlegregory in Pâirc de Staic on May 27th.

Beale juniors contest Division 3 of the North Kerry League with our opening round game against Emmetts in Listowel on Tuesday, March 27th, at 6.30pm. We host Tarbert on Tuesday, April 3rd, in Páirc de Staic at 6.45pm and the following Tuesday we travel to Moyvane for a 7 o’clock throw-in. Our last round hame will be against Ballydonighue in Coolard on April 17th at 7 o’clock.

Beale GAA Club extend sympathies to the families of Bridie Griffin and Kit Guerin, who have passed to their eternal reward. The Griffin and Fogarty names are synonymous with the club, both on and off the pitch. Last Christmas they were very much to the fore in Strictly Come Dancing, when John and Máire Griffin took centre stage along with James Fogarty and Leesha and Corey Meehan. In previous years, other family members also took part in our Christmas show. Down the years, both families have worn the club colours at all age levels and the tradition still continues as Caitrín Griffin and Maura Doran play with Beale Ladies, alongside Teegan Meehan and Millie Byrnes, while Leigh Meehan and Oisín, Aaron and Fiachra Buckley keep the flag flying with Coiste na nÓg.
