Beale GAA   30/05/2017

Our final of the North Kerry Junior League, Division 4B, against Ballyduff has been postponed. We await details of rescheduled date from North Kerry Board.

Our juniors came up short against Tarbert on Friday evening in the County League, Group 8. Despite been under strength, we put up a great performance and had the edge at the short whistle. We were five points to the good with the clock ticking away but our opponents struck  for goal and added some fine points to leave us two points adrift at the end, 1-17 to 3-9. Beale lined out as Killian Downey, Pa Greaney, Stephen Galvin, John M Horgan, Callum McSweeney, John Griffin, Tommy O'Neill, Shane Hanrahan, Neilus Mulvihill, Jamie Culloty, Ian Blake,  Wayne Jones, Podge Rowan, Brendan Brennan and Barry O'Mahony. Substitutes: Peter McMahon for John Griffin (inj), Philip Hornyiak for Pa Greaney and Kenneth Mannix. We now take a break until June 23rd when we host Kerins O'Rahilly's in Páirc de Staic at 7.30 and on July 7th we travel to Ardfert for our final round game.

The next round of the County Senior League, Division 4, is on the June Bank Holiday weekend when we host Dr Crokes in Ballybunion on Sunday next at 2 o'clock. Hovering in the bottom quarter of the table with just one win from our three games to date, we will be desperately seeking out the points from this game.

It will be a busy month of June as the following Sunday we travel to Renard for a 3 o'clock throw in and, then on June 18th, we host Duagh in Páirc de Staic. Our North Kerry Senior League game against Brosna has been rescheduled for June 25th at 2.30 in Brosna. We await details of quarter final of the County Novice Club Championship against Moyvane.

With impending state examinations, the minors take a break from football for a few weeks. At the end of June we kick off the first round of the North Kerry League, Division 2A.  Ballydonoghue and Knocknagoshel/Brosna    also contest this division.

Best of luck from Beale GAA to all sitting upcoming Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams and to those awaiting results of college exams.

Beale GAA host our annual Golf Classic in Ballybunion Golf Club on Friday. Teams of 4 welcome to enter by contacting John Hennessy @ 087 9237368. Special thanks to Ballybunion Golf Club for making this date and superb venue available to us. To the teams and sponsors who have supported us over the years, we look forward to your continued patronage this year. Without your support, the Golf Classic would not be such a great success. New teams very welcome!
