3 Free Tickets J Kenny BallylineBar Prize Brendan Flahive Well RoadCounty Minor LeagueBallylongford/Asdee 3-12 Tarbert Moyvane 1-13Round 2 of the County minor league continued on Saturday with a home game at O'Rahilly Park against neighbours Tarbert/MoyvaneBoth sides served up a high scoring entertaining game that was in the balance right up to the final minutes.Little separated the sides throughout the opening half with both teams matching each other point for point and a couple of goal opportunities that were created were dealt with by both defences,firstly with Gavin Stack saving brilliantly in the Bally/Asdee goal and at the other end a goal bound shot was deflected onto the upright.Bally/Asdee did go briefly ahead when Liam Mulvihill was fouled in the square and and Eoin O'Connor dispatched the resultant penalty to the net.Cillian Langan brought the sides back level by half time.Half Time ScoreBallylongford/Asdee 1-6 Tarbert/Moyvane 0-9Bally/Asdee began the second half in good fashion,Eoin O'Connor with a point in the first minute and the same player intercepted a pass in his own defense and set up a move which led to a Conor Carmody goal.James O'Connor with one of his many runs from centre back kicked over a fine point to put them five points ahead by the 13th minute.Eoin O'Connor added another two minutes later to extend the lead to six.Tarbert/Moyvane needed scores on the board at this stage as the game was in danger of slipping away from them and EamonO'Callaghan began their fight back as he kicked over his 4th point of the game in the 16th minute,this was followed by a great individual goal by first half substitute Tadhg McEvoy.Two Cillian Langan frees and another EamonO'Callaghan point put Tarbert/Moyvane back in front with five minutes remaining.Now it was up to Bally/Asdee to respond and this they did two Eoin O'Connor points put Bally/Asdee back in front while Sean Hanrahan who had now moved to full forward finished to the net with time running out,Eoin O'Connor finished out the scoring with a point in injury time.Ballylongford/Asdee have a bye next weekend.Referee Mike Hennessy Ballyduff.Team Gavin Stack.Sean Carmody.Conor Keane.Pa Carmody.Jack Keane.James O'Connor 0-1.Stephen Lynch.Sean Hanrahan 1-0.Victor Flahive.Eoin O'Connor 1-9.Denis Heaphy.Liam Mulvihill Conor Carmody 1-2.
