Family €50County Minor LeagueBallylongford/Asdee 2-12 Beale 4-9This years County minor league began a few weeks earlier this year and it kicked off last Saturday with an away trip to Beale.Throw in for this game was delayed as a Beale player picked up a serious knee injury in the pre match warm up and we wish him a speedy recovery.Ballylongford/Asdee 2-12 Beale 4-9Beale were quick into their stride with three points in the opening five minutes and were doing all the attacking.Eoin O'Connor who had a total of 1-9 for the game got Bally/Asdee off the mark with a point before Beale who had by now created a number of goal scoring chances made the breakthrough when Fintan Twomey picked up on a slip up in defence to drive to the net indeed their goal tally could have been more but for some excellent saves from Gavin StackBoth sides continued to exchange points and the half time score read.Ballylongford/Asdee 0-6 Beale 1-6 The second half began with Eoin O'Connor who was getting a better supply of ball bringing the sides level by the 10th minute.Beale regained the lead shortly after when Callum MCSweeney scored the first of their three second half goals the first coming from the penalty spot and they had opened up a seven point lead by the 25th minute and it looked game over,however we were in for a grandstand finish with Sean Hanrahan making some good runs as he moved up from full back and Conor Carmody now operating on the edge of the square getting a goal back in the 25th minute  this was quickly followed by another from Eoin O'Connor from the penalty spot to leave the minimum between the sides.However Beale finished the stronger and two point in injury time brought the game to a close.Referee Brendan Griffin Team Gavin Stack.Patrick Carmody.Sean Hanrahan.Jack Keane.Sean Carmody.Denis Heaphy.James O'Connor.Stephen Lynch.Conor Carmody 1-1.Conor Keane.Victor Flahive.Eoin O'Connor 1-9.Liam Mulvihill 0-2.
