Juniors : Tarbert juniors were defeated by Ballydonoghue in the quarter final of the North Kerry Junior championship on a scoreline of 0-15 to 1-8. Played in Ballylongford, Tarbert were very competitive in the first half playing against the wind and trailing by 0-5 to 0-7. Ballydonoghue dominated the second half where Tarbert failed to score until the final five minutes. This completes the junior football activities for the year and the club and players would like to thank managers Tomas Dillane and Ger Foley for their commitment throughout the year. Team last Sunday lined out as follows : John Kennedy, Jack Healy, Pa Hanlon, Patrick Healy, Eamon Leahy, Noel Kennedy, Evan Allen, Ian Flavin, Eddie O’Connor, Cormac Wall, Micheal Normile, Finbarr Carrig, Eamon O’Callaghan, Brendan Cregan, Niall Foley.

Cosite na nOg : Pride of place this week goes to our gallant U-8 team who won the Listowel Blitz in Listowel last Sunday. Our U-14 team bowed out of the North Kerry championship following a defeat by Ballydonoghue on a scoreline of 1-8 to 5-6. Playing with the wind in the first half Tarbert led at halftime by 1-7 to 2-2 but a much stronger Ballydonoghue side ran out easy winners. This U-14 had a very eventful year this year, the highlight being the participation in the National Feile competition. Great credit is due to their manager Stevie Deenihan and selectors Tom Cregan, Shane Sheehan and Kieran Foley for all their efforts.
