UNDER 16 NORTH KERRY LEAGUE. Played in Stack Park, Ballybunion Monday evening last in very cold blustery conditions, Asdee/ Bally qualified for the knockout stages of the North Kerry League, Division 2 Under 16 league when they accounted for a fancied Beale side who though defeated by a 14pt margin which certainly didn't reflect the Seasiders challenge throughout and to add to their woe lost their most influential player in Cormac Linnane early in the game. The visitors got off to a great start playing with the wind , with great team work involved and some fine accurate scoring; were the stronger side from the start and had accumulated a score of 2goals 8 pts to Beales 1g 1 pt at half time. Beale did come stronger in the second half but Asdee/Bally with Kieran O Connor in superb scoring form accounting for 11pts of his sides tally held on and continued displaying great teamwork throughout the second half resulting in a good win over their neighbours. The final score was asdee/Bally 3g 14pts Beale 1g 9pts.
