N.K.League Div 3 B'Donoghue v Clounmacon REPORT 2013-04-03 16:23:00

N.K.League Div 3
Ballydonoghue (1-8) Clounmacon (1-8).
In a very entertaining Div 3 N.K. League first round game Clounmacon got off to the best possible start when a long range shot came back off the crossbar to the waiting Tom Sheehy who had the easiest of tasks to tap the ball to the net. Clounmacon looked the stronger side in the early exchanges but two good saves and some dogged defending from Ballydonoghue kept them from taking full advantage of their dominance, still they managed to kick 5pts to Ballydonoghue's 2pts in this period. In the final 10 mins of the half Ballydonoghue came more into the game and pulled back three more points. H/T Bally/don (0-5) Clounmacon (1-5).
Clounmacon were back on track with two well taken points early in the second half to give them a 5pt lead Ballydonoghue's first score came in the 14min from an Eric O'Connor free, two minutes later Jackie Hegarty made it a 3pt game again. Ballydonoghue then missed a couple of scoreable frees before the best move of the game saw the ball moved from the Ballydonoghue goal line through the field finally reaching Jim Cremins who sololed in along the end line before deftly chipping the Clounmacon keeper to bring the sides level with 7mins remaining Ballydonogue then went ahead for the first time, but in the final kick of the game Clounmacon's Martin Enright struck for the equaliser. Final score Ballydonoghue (1-8) Clounmacon (1-8).
