Beaufort 1-20   Kenmare Shamrocks 1-15

Beaufort hosted Kenmare Shamrocks on Saturday evening and the visitors had the aid of the blustery wind in the first half.  Beaufort had the first score with a pointed free from Niall O'Connor. This was cancelled out with a Paul O'Connor free.  Ronan Murphy was dominating around the midfield area and made some telling runs.  One of these led to a Padraig Doona shot blocked out for a ’45, which Fergal Hallissey scored and then Murphy set wing back James O'Reilly up for a point.  Kenmare had a quick attack and Paul O'Connor had a point. Minor player Ciaran Kennedy and Paul O'Connor had two points each and, on 15 minutes, O'Reilly had his second point.  Michael John O'Connor cleared his line when a Kenmare goal looked on, but Kenmare had their goal shortly afterwards when a high ball was finished to the Beaufort net by Mid-fielder Donal O'Connor, to take the lead.  However, it was short lived as Fergal Hallissey fisted a point.   Brian O'Sullivan saw his goal shot come off the post for Kenmare.  Ronan Ferris had a point from play and Paul O'Connor had a free after he was fouled.   Again, the home side were guilty of some bad wides before Niall O'Connor had a good point.  Paul O'Connor finished the half with two points to leave the half-time score: Beaufort 0-9, Kenmare Shamrocks 1-7.

Paul O'Connor again was on the scoresheet with a free and a point from play to cut the lead to the minimum.  Ciaran Kennedy and Nathan Breen had points, but wingback Dara O'Shea made a great solo run forward and scored a fine point from the wing.  Another foul on Mike Breen saw Fergal Hallissey score the free.  Daragh Coffey won a short kick out and scored a point to extend the lead to three points.  Paul O'Connor had a free.  A great run forward by full-back Ger Hartnett set Fergal Hallisey up for a point and again Paul O'Connor had a free. Danny Healy replaced Ronan Ferris.  Padraig Doona set Fergal Hallissey up for another point, followed by another from sub Mark Crowley.  The home support could eventually breathe easy, when Ronan Murphy and Mike Breen set Fergal Hallissey up for Beaufort's goal in injury time.  Sub Sean O'Leary had a point for Kenmare, before Fergal Hallissey had the final score, a free after he was fouled.  Final score Beaufort 1-20 Kenmare Shamrocks 1-15.
