Renard 0-11   Skellig Rangers 1-11

Renard played Skellig Rangers at home in beautiful sunshine. Diarmuid Keating opened scoring with a point from a free.  Mark Sugrue Renard got a point from a free and Brian O Sullivan a point from play.  Micheal O Sullivan Skellig Rangers scored a goal.  Daragh Fitzgerald Renard got a point from play, to put first quarter score Renard 0-03, Skellig Rangers 1-01.  In the second quarter, Skellig Rangers’ Diarmuid Keating pointed two from frees and Michael Keating a point from play and  Mark Sugrue Renard got two points from frees.  Michael O Sullivan and Brendan O Sullivan, Skellig Rangers, scored points from play with a responsive two points from play by Renard’s Brian O Sullivan and Daragh Fitzgerald. Half time score Renard 0-08, Skellig Rangers 1-07.

Renard’s Stephen Curran was injured at end of first half and was substituted by Colm O Neill.  A goal chance by Colm O Neill Renard within minutes of the second half commencement floundered, as the punched ball hit the cross bar and rebounded.  Two points from frees by Skellig Rangers’ Daniel O Sullivan and Diarmuid Keating, followed by points from play by Renard’s Robert Wharton and Mark Sugrue left the score Renard 0-10, Skellig Rangers 1-09.  David O Sullivan Skellig Rangers and Mark Sugrue exchanged points from frees and a point from play by Ronan O Shea Skellig Rangers left the final score:   Renard 0-11, Skellig Rangers 1-11 .
