Renard defeated Scartaglin in the County League round two played in Scart on an ideal day for football.  Renard with the aid of the wind led 0-08 to 0-05 at half time.
Renard extended their lead when they struck for a vital goal in the second minute of the second half, from the penalty spot scored by Brian O’Sullivan.  Points by Kevin Curran, Padraig Casey and Conor O Leary, plus a second goal by Brian O Sullivan, had Renard comfortably ahead at the three quarter stage.  Scartaglen rallied with Brendan Rahilly scoring a goal and points by Brendan Rahilly, Mike Horan and Alan Horan, but a third goal for Renard gave them a comfortable victory.  Final Score Scartaglen 1-8, Renard 3-12.
