Ballymac 1-19 St. Senans 2-13

Ballymac took on St.Senans tonight in Round 3 of the County league.  The conditions were excellent in what was a lovely evening for a fine game of football, which both teams served up.   This reflected in the high scoring with some superb scores from both sides.

St Senans started the better with some fine attacks and led very early on, until Ballymac were awarded a penalty, when Vinnie Horan was pulled down on the edge of the square. Aiden Breen missed the initial spot kick, but slipped the rebound under the advancing goalkeeper.  It was score for score for the next ten minutes, until Ballymac hit their purple patch which saw them lead by three points by half time.

Ballymac started as the stronger side in the second half and stormed into a seven point lead. St.Senans then hit 2-01 without reply to draw level heading into the final stages.

Ballymac rallied with the introduction of Dan O’Shea, which saw three unanswered points in the final minutes.
