GLENFLESK 2-14 CURROW 0-08 2017-07-11 01:16:00

Glenflesk 2-14            Currow 0-8

A personal scoring tally of 1-9 by Dara Roche was instrumental in Glenflesk’s twelve points victory over Currow at Glenflesk on Sunday evening.  Three points from Roche had the home side 4 points to 2 ahead early on, with Pa McCarthy and John McMahon replying for Currow.  Two more points and a goal from Paudie Healy had Glenflesk leading by 1-7 to 0-2 at the break.

Currow, who lined out without Seamus Scanlon and John Buckley, had a bright start to the second half, but two good saves from Daniel O’Shea and Seamus Brosnan denied the visitors the goals they needed to get back into the game.  The score stood at 1-10 to 0-7 at the three quarter stage, but after Dara Roche got Glenflesk’s second goal, there was only going to be one winner.
